3月9日になるとどうして、レミオロメンの3月9日が思い出されますね。
今日はテレワーク以外、BizEnglishしかしていないので、それを書きたいと思います。
BizEnglish7日目
昨日はMars Landingというタイトルの1分程度のListeningをして、IBC patternでSummaryを書くという宿題が出ましたが、今日もそれにそっくりな感じです。
ただ今日は2つありました。
一つはDAILY DIARY_THINK IN ENGLISH CHALLENGEという宿題。英語で考える練習。
もう一つはリスニングの練習で500,000 Americans Die from COVID-19というタイトルの1分程度のListeningをして、これまたBC patternでSummaryを書くという宿題が出ました。
宿題
DAILY DIARY_THINK IN ENGLISH CHALLENGE
Today, I got up at 9:15. That was oversleeping for me. So, I hurried out of my bed and got to work. I am a teleworker now because of COVID-19. If I were not a teleworker now, I would go to our office by train and my boss would get angry at me for being late. I planned to wake up at 7:30 and go for a walk today, but this plan failed. I might get fat due to lack of exercise. Also, it was difficult for me to find the time to study today’s homework because of oversleeping.
I am home alone now because my girlfriend whom I live with works nights today. I had to cook my dinner but that was a hassle. Therefore, I heated up some frozen udon in a microwave and ate them.
500,000 Americans Die from COVID-19
The coronavirus pandemic called COVID-19 changed the world and 500,000 people already died in the US. Experts said that the situation would not get better soon and people could still wear masks in 2022. The US president promised that the number of Americans who got the COVID-19 vaccine would get much higher than the current 15% by summer in order to have a much nicer Christmas than last year’s Christmas.
I think many more Americans will die in the future. There is nothing so important as freedom for them. Some of them can not stand to wear masks and go out because they are free. In addition, not all of them have insurance unlike the Japanese. Therefore, some people can not receive adequate treatment. If more people got the vaccine, the situation would be better, but I think this year’s Christmas will only be a little better than Christmas last year.

If I were not home-based at the moment now, I would go/ commute to our office by train and my boss would get angry at me for being late. Also, it was difficult for me to find the time to study today’s homework because of oversleeping.

commute: to regularly travel a long distance to get to work.
teleworkerというと電話をする仕事人ということになってしまうらしい。気を付けよう。
今日は仮定法過去とwhomの関係代名詞を使ったところが個人的なポイントだったが、特にそこは治されなかったので良かった。

直されなかった。
ただ、なぜJapaneseとかにはtheが必要ないのに、USには必要なのかを質問したので、それだけ残しておく。
If the name of the country is plural or many , use “the”.

感想
やっぱり宿題が2つもでるとそこそこきつい。
時間を確保するのが難しい。
これからは毎日日記の宿題もあるっぽい。
宿題の内容をみて、Don’t you like Americans?と聞かれ、日本語の感覚で間違えてNoと答えてしまった。これはまた間違えそうだ…。次似た質問が来た場合は気を付けよう。
これからアメリカ人嫌い人間と思われるかもしれない…。
おわりに
今日はほんとにテレワークとBizEnglishしかしていない。
英語の宿題の日記も書くことに困った困った。
最近あまりイベントがなくて、このブログもしょうもない日記しかかけていない。
緊急事態宣言延長したし仕方ないのかな？？
